Dear reader, the wait is finally over! Boutros has just dropped an incredible album called ‘Mtindo’ and it’s an absolute banger!
From his 2019 debut studio album ‘6ixviewsii8k’ followed by three EP’s, ‘6ix,’ ‘Mawingu’ and ‘Kabla Mtindo,’ Boutross has been teasing ‘Mtindo’ for over three years, and his fans have been eagerly waiting for it. It seems like his hit song ‘Angela’ bought him some extra time with him cooking and compiling the project, but he’s finally delivered the goods! The 20-song album is out and it has amazing tracks that showcases the very best of Kenyan artists.
‘Mtindo’ features some incredible music heads like Bensoul, H_art the Band, Joshua Baraka from Uganda, Riziki, Mejja, ODG (NSG), Khaligraph Jones, Qwiss, Timmy Blanco, Backroad Gee, Ediv, Fena Gitu, Savara, Fathermoh, Vijana BaruBaru, Blinky Bill, Ice Prince, Jovie Jovv, Aja from Buruklyn Boyz, and Black Viking. It’s truly a star-studded affair!
With tracks like “Nyash,” “Baby Love,” “Mannerless,” “Huwezi,” “Bad Habit,” “Blocks Hot,” “Fire,” “Gangster,” “Bounce,” “Gemini,” “Miss Behaviour,” “Tujiachilie,” “Darling,” “Intro,” “To Lit,” “Formula 1,” “Next,” “Dera,” “One Two,” and “Business Mind,” this album is sure to keep you grooving and vibing from start to finish.
These songs are all about good vibes and enjoying life. They capture the essence of ravishing “pengtings,” living in uptown Nairobi, and many more exciting stories. The artists brought their A-game to these collaborations, and you can feel the unique sounds from each producer featured in the tracks.
One standout song from the album is “Miss Behaviour,” which created quite a buzz after its release in 2023. With the fiery verses from Sauti Sol’s Savara and Fathermoh, it’s no wonder the song has surpassed 1 million views on YouTube.
Mtindo has been getting a ton of pre-marketing buzz, with Boutross doing radio interviews. What’s more exciting is that Boutross and his management have gone all out and organized a listening party for his fans. And the featured artists will be there too! The event ends on April 13th, 2024, at The Mall Rooftop in Westlands. The party starts at 3 pm and goes on until midnight. It sure is going to be epic!
With this project, Boutross has gone from being a local rapper with tracks like “Story Ilianza” to collaborating with some seriously big and dapper artists like Konshens, Jux, 1 Da Banton, and Blaiz Fayah.
