Another boomy Boomfest has come and gone in Nairobi, and it was epic! The energy, the music, the crowd… it was a wild ride from start to finish. Let us reminisce about the good times and share our favorite moments from Boomfest!
Introduction

BoomPlay, one of the leading music streaming platforms in Africa, recently held its first-ever live music festival called BoomFest in Nairobi, Kenya. And it was spontaneous!

The event took place at the A.S.K Dome and brought together 13 of Kenya’s most popular artists, drawing a massive crowd of music enthusiasts. It wasn’t just your average concert – a true celebration of Kenyan music!

Boomfest Artist Lineup and Experience

DJ Lyta and DJ JR were on fire, spinning the hottest Kenyan tracks in between sets, keeping the energy levels sky-high throughout the event. The lineup was off the charts, featuring a diverse range of genres and talented artists like Bahati with a surprise performance from his wife Diana Marua, Arrow Bwoy, Nameless, his wife Wahu Kagwi, Willy Paul, Ssaru, Teslah Kenya, Boutross, Femi One, Fathermoh, Wakadinali, Buruklyn Boyz, and Vijana Barubaru. And not to forget the incredible emcees Mwalimu Rachel and Xclusive, who kept the crowd hyped up throughout the festival.

After the event, fans couldn’t stop raving about the chance to see their favorite musicians live, and artists were so grateful to BoomPlay for giving them a platform to connect with their fans and celebrate Kenyan music.

Some of the praised artists include;
The OG himself, Khaligraph Jones, took the stage by storm, unleashing hits like “Yes Bana” and “Champe.” The audience couldn’t contain their excitement as they went wild for Khaligraph’s incredible talent and energy.

And Sylvia Ssaru? With a powerful presence, Ssaru made a grand entrance, presenting her debut songs and joining forces with Teslah Kenya for a captivating performance of Vic West’s “Men Can Lie.” The duo’s lively performance uplifted the spirits of all the women in attendance.

Wahu and Nameless weren’t left out either. This power couple brought their A-game, infusing the show with their undeniable chemistry and leaving the audience mesmerized and craving for more.

Willy Paul brought in the heat to the stage. He amped up the energy with not only his tracks but also the presence of 20 talented dancers. His vim and vigor through the vibrant performance proved why he is an artist to admire and look up to.

The event was not just about entertaining, it was all about taking Kenyan music to new heights! BoomPlay had a big vision for the festival – to showcase the incredible talent and production value of Kenyan music and put it on the same level as international music festivals.
